Abbie Hoffman Died For Our Sins Theatre Festival XXII

The 21st annual performance mashup celebrates the anniversary of the Woodstock Music and Art Fair of 1969. Three days of non-stop entertainment include more than 50 theater groups and performers on the Angel Island stage!

You can email completed applications to rich@maryarrchie.com and bring signed copies of the contract to a meeting. We need 2 copies of the contract and 1 show form per submission.
There will also be a meeting Sunday MAY 9th at Mary-Arrchie at 12:00PM (NOON) for participants.
Anything goes, time limit 1 hour or less, get a group together and submit a project today! SPREAD THE WORD!

Emanueal Buckley (Simmons) is delighted to be joining Mary-Arrchie Theatre for The Rant, his debut production with the company. He last appeared as Crooks in Of Mice and Men at Steppenwolf Theatre. He also appeared in Streamers and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot with the Gift Theatre, the latter having also been restaged at Victory Gardens. Previous to coming to Chicago, Emanueal toured with ArtReach, a division of Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, where he appeared in multiple roles, including Satchel Paige in The Satchel Paige Story. He also toured with Theatre IV, traveling from Miami to Manhattan with shows that included The Adventures of Lewis and Clark and A Christmas Carol. Emanueal has also performed in Bratislava, Slovokia as a part of the English Language Theatre Festival and The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Emanueal was honored to be hailed by the Chicago Tribune as one of six hot new stars to watch on the Chicago theater scene.
Earl Pastko (Stern) Returns to Chicago theatre for the 1st time in over 20 years. A founding member of Remains Theatre (THE TOWER; HARRY,NOON & NIGHT; MOBY DICK) - I’ve been living in Canada (mostly Toronto) and working in theatre, film & television for longer than I’d like to contemplate. I am very pleased and excited to be doing this play at the Mary-Arrchie, here in the birthplace of both me & my borderline career. Notable stage roles have included Heathcliff (WUTHERING HEIGHTS), Robert Mapplethorpe (BAN THIS SHOW), Creon (ANTIGONE), Nicola Tesla (TESLA ELECTRIC), Queequeg (MOBY DICK), Svengali (SVENGALI’S) & the artist/writer in LA RONDE. Those with further interest in my film work can check out HIGHWAY 61 by Bruce McDonald, THE SWEET HEREAFTER by Atom Egoyan and ECLIPSE by Jeremy Podeswa.
Lindsey Pearlman (Mahanaz) is very happy to work with Mary Arrchie Theatre Co. for the first time! She has worked with Ouroboros Theatre Company, New Millenium Theatre Company, Stage Center Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Theatre Wit (Two for the Show, Jeff Nomination/Best New Musical, After Dark Award/Best New Musical), Noble Fool Theatricals, The Gift Theatre Company, Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, and Northlight Theatre. A graduate of The Second City Conservatory Program, Lindsey taught improv at St. Martin’s Episcopal School in New Orleans during the summer of 2009. She also tours the United States, performing in Sex Signals, a two-person play that utilizes improv and sketch comedy as tools to address the important issue of sexual assault and non-stranger rape. In 2007, Lindsey won the Chicago Monologue Match competition. Commercial work includes Pepsi Co., Boeing, American Dental Association, and Marriott. She is also the proud owner of Sit and Stay, a Chicago pet care company. Lindsey loves, worships, and cherishes her beloved family, friends, and four-legged babies. This one’s for my very missed grandfather, Mac Pearlman, who faithfully served as a NY fireman.
Shariba Rivers (Reeves) is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she got her first taste of being on stage as a dancer for the Baton Rouge Ballet Theater, the Newcomb Dance Company and the LSU Dance Ensemble. Shariba has lived in the Chicago area for the past five years and considers Chicago not only as her new home, but also the place for a new phase in her life. Shariba made her theatrical debut as Lillie the Librarian in Elizabeth Nonie Sanders’s production of Rich Man, Poor Man at the Laugh Out Loud Theater in Schaumburg. Shariba is proud to add Denise Reeves as her second theatrical role. Shariba thanks her family and friends for their love and support.






Shannon Clausen (Sophie) is Mary-Arrchie’s Literary Manager, working behind the scenes most of the time. She earned a BA in Theater from Illinois State University. Her M-A debut was Sheila in Beggars in the House of Plenty. She most recently Assistant Directed Mud People by Keith Huff directed by Carlo Garcia. Other Chicago acting credits include Living Canvas in association with New Millennium and Einstein’s Dreams with Moving Dock. Thanks to Rich for the chance at playing Sophie, to her parents for their patience and to Carlo for just about everything.
Scott Danielson (Eric, Priest, Barry, Danny, et al) How to Disappear is Scott’s first production with Mary Arrchie, and he’s very proud to be a part of it. A graduate of Illinois State University, Scott has been working throughout Chicago for the past four years. Most recent productions include A Christmas Carol (Marriott Lincolnshire), Women of Manhattan (Playing Space Theatre), and The Bowery Boys (Marriott Lincolnshire). Thank you to Carlo and Rich for this great opportunity, as well as his parents for their never ending support. Much love to Shakespeare, Sookie, and his beautiful wife-to-be Susan.
James Eldrenkamp (Tube Man, Robert, Pawn Man, et al) has appeared in many acclaimed off-loop productions with Strawdog, Prop Thtr, Eclipse, Raven, and Pegasus Players. He has also worked at the Organic, Goodman, and Victory Gardens and made his Steppenwolf debut in its production of The Royal Family. He was an original cast member of Hizzoner, and in the inaugural WildClaw Theatre production of The Great God Pan. His previous work with Mary-Arrchie includes The Freedom of the City.

Kristina Johnson (Nurse, Doctor, Bureaucrat 3, et al) is more than ready to disappear with the amazing Mary-Arrchie pack! She recently graduated from the School @ Steppenwolf ‘09, is a Conservatory at Act One Studios grad, and received her BA in Theatre from Calvin College. Most recent Chicago credits include Amber (The Rocks, The Side Project), Serena (Touch, New Leaf Theatre), Caroline Bryant (The Ballad of Emmett Till, Goodman Theatre), Dolly/Beggar/Victoria’s Messenger (The Three Penny Opera, Hypocrites), Kate Barlow/Sarah Miller (Holes, Adventure Stage Chicago), Susan Tanner (New Stages Reading, Goodman Theatre), Stephanie/Stephano (Eye of the Storm, Adventure Stage Chicago), Madge (Picnic, dir. by David Cromer). She sends out so much love many bear hugs to her family for their constant support and perogies! Look for her in the Hypocrites’ spring production of Cabaret.
Kevin Stark (Mike) is thrilled to have an opportunity to work with Mary-Arrchie. Favorite credits include Another Day in The Empire with Black Sheep, New Orleans with Side Project, Cider House Rules with Famous Door, and The Violet Hour with Steppenwolf. He has worked with Collaboraction, Chicago Dramatists, InFusion, Pegasus, Shattered Globe, Strawdog, and Victory Gardens among others. Thank you for coming and supporting live theatre.
Britni Tozzi (Ellie, Woman, Bureaucrat 1, et al) is grateful to be making her Mary-Arrchie debut! She is a native of Cleveland, OH and graduated valedictorian from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Theatre. Chicago credits include The White Airplane, Moon Over Buffalo, Paradise Lost and The Little Foxes. Britni is an associate member with the St. Sebastian Players and can next be seen performing in The Hypocrites’ production of Cabaret, followed by Oh, Boy! with City Lit. Her many thanks to God, her family, Rich and Carlo for the wonderful opportunity!
